Micah DeWard was passionate about music. He cared for kids and wanted to see them grow to love music as well.

Following Micah's passing on July 26, 2026. STRC sought a meaningful way to support the DeWard family in their time of loss while honoring Micah’s life and his passion for music.

This scholarship is designed to support music discovery on St. Thomas through reduced or sliding-scale fees for music lessons, under the direction of Chanelle Schaffer and James Anderson.

St. Thomas Reformed Church is partnering with Pastors Nate and Andrea DeWard to receive and distribute the funds so children can learn to play piano or guitar.
